"We encourage you to be a part of your inspection." |
What is a Home Inspection?
A home inspection is a visual examination of the physical structure and systems of a home, from foundation to roof. If problems are found we will recommend further evaluation or remedies. Personal consultation and reports are given on-site. All inspections are impartial and confidential. We encourage you to be a part of your inspection. Please ask questions regarding maintenance, repair, and safety. What does a typical home inspection include? A home inspection will point out the positive aspects of a home, as well as suggestions to keep the property in good shape.
Why do I need an inspection when buying or selling property? Most buyers and sellers find it difficult to remain completely objective and unemotional when selling or purchasing a property. This may have an effect on your judgement. For accurate information, it is best to obtain an impartial third-party opinion from an experienced inspector. By choosing a member of the Illinois Home Inspector's Association and the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors, you are assured of professional standards and business ethics. What will my inspection cover? Your report will cover visual conditions of the home's heating system; central air conditioning system (temperature permitting); interior plumbing and electrical systems; the roof, attic and visible insulation; walls, ceilings, floor, windows and doors; the foundation, basement and structural components. What if the home/commercial property is in good condition? Did I really need an inspection? Who can perform a home inspection in Illinois? You must be licensed through the Office of Banks and Real Estate and have a current license to perform home/commercial inspection in the State of Illinois. What additional testing do you provide?
